FACIAL SKIN REJUVENATION
Excellent and exciting treatments are now available for facial skin rejuvenation. These two treatments Microdermabrasion and Botox are terrific methods in improving the appearance of facial skin. Microdermabrasion was developed in southern California by a very insightful plastic surgeon who invented a method of treating the top most layer of the skin with diamond particle wands that smoothes skin lines, wrinkles and enhances skin tone giving it vibrance and luminescence. This treatment creates a rested appearance and is very good in softening pigmented areas, freckles, small skin vascularities, acne, chicken pox, mumps and facial scars. Microdermabrasion is a comfortable treatment and consists of typically six visits, one every 7 to 14 days. This treatment is done in a special suite in this office and each treatment lasts approximately thirty minutes. There is no anesthetic required and this can be done at any time during the year. We recommend the use of skin moisturizing preparations and sunscreen, sunscreen make- up in warm weather months. The results of Microdermabrasion can be seen following the first treatment. This treatment can also be used on other areas of the body, such as for the backs of hands.

Botox is another exciting and excellent treatment for facial skin lines and wrinkles. Botox was developed for other functional problems of the body and has been used for nearly twenty years. It has recently been fully approved by the FDA for use in the treatment of facial skin lines and wrinkles. Botox is currently an extremely pure medicine produced in strict laboratory conditions. It has no allergic qualities and it is safely used in all patients. It can be used at any age. The results are simply fantastic!

In my quest for providing safe and high quality skin rejuvenation treatments Microdermabrasion and Botox are wonderful choices. As time goes on I use both of these treatments simultaneously. They are equally effective for both men and women of all ages. These treatments can be reapplied and there is no maximum application, unlike other skin treatments such as chemical peels or facial skin layering. We recommend follow-up typically every 3 to 4 months following the original course of treatment. The beauty of these treatments is that they do not use energy and do not harm the skin. They stimulate and relax facial skin and facial muscles, which greatly enhances the appearance of our skin. These treatments require no preparation and no anesthetic.

We think you will be delighted with these skin treatment choices as our patients have so far.
